Today I had to hand in some supporting material to a grant application – thankfully, it all ran smoothly and there were no technological issues to hinder the process! I was also given some good news: someone has recommended me for a Shakespeare touring show with a very well respected theatre company. I am very excited about this news and hope that I get an audition!
I spent my afternoon watching The Avengers at the cinema and analysing some of the plays I have read recently in an effort to improve upon my own writing work.
In the evening I worked at the theatre and ascertained some useful marketing advice on how we can best promote our Sydney Fringe show and roll out our marketing schedule.
I am also very much looking forward to tomorrow, where I will be performing in Lovely Ugly as part of The Studio’s contribution to Griffin Theatre Company’s Festival of New Writing! The show is described as a fully immersive, site-specific event across three locations in Kings Cross – and for one night only! So if you are keen to check it out, you better book your tickets now!
